Today I worked from 8 to 4:30, just like a normal person. After work, I cooked a nutritious dinner for my family. After dinner, instead of going back to the computer to work as I have for years, I heeded the call of the Wii (and my 8year old calling out Daddy you have to play Mario). Meanwhile, my 16 year old who is always looking for a reason to go for a drive asked if he could go rent a movie. Sure, why not. Back to Mario. Five minutes later my 16 year old comes back in and says what you kind of expect to hear from a 16 year old who has just started driving, but pray that you just magically, or by the grace of God skip over.... "Dad, I crashed the car".
Thank God he really didn't make it out of the driveway. My Son and the dog, who was along for the ride, are fine. However, the bumper of the Suburban, and the 100 year old stone wall in front of the house have had better days. I don't know about this evening relaxation thing.

I don't know who my heart stopped more for... The wall, the Dog, The old car or Jay.
No seriously, glad that hes ok. That is part of driving. I remember when I hit my garage pulling into it for the first time, I was mortified. I was so afraid to be a teen stereotype! haha
Why don't you tell me these things when I'm talking to you???????
I'm happy Jay is ok and Zack too, but the poor wall!!!!!
I guess it's the good news and the bad news thing..
Remember when you car rolled across the street into the neighbors yard? you weren't even in it...........
OMG, I think I had totally blacked that out. I was lucky it wasn't in their front window.
