How'd you shoot Beacon? I like that you have that vast expanse of cool blue, but then the yellows of the light are so warm. If it was a filter you'd just cool the whole shot....so how DID you do it?

Beth.... First of all it was a very blue day. It was dusk, and quite overcast, so everything had the natural blue glow. I did boost the warmth of the light a bit to make it stand out a little more. I did this in Photoshop. There is a saturation adjustment that lets you pinpoint specific color tones to effect that color alone. I increased the saturation of the reds by about 10 percent. This helped bring out the overall color composition because it also revealed a little red glow in the reeds in the foreground. It's kind of like painting, but I am not adding things that aren't there, just emphasizing what is there to convey how I saw it. the camera captures everything, but it takes a bit of tweaking to bring it out.
