It snowed a little today...just a little. Focusing on melting snowflakes provides an interesting view. You have to look at this big.
One more from the basement...I thought they kind of went together.

Great shot of the umbrella. It looks to me like photo subjects from your basement are your favorites.
You're right...the snowflake photo shows up much more interesting large. I like both.
i love the snowflake...i can't wait to show rose when she gets home from school!
so of course rose's response was very laid back...however, she said "it's not a snowflake, it's a diamond" with a smirk on her face!
the snowflake pic is very interesting small and large! how did you do this? what were the snowflakes touching?
The snowflakes were on the winsheild of my car. I had just gotten in the car, and noticed the colorful blurred background. This is actually only 50% of the whole picture. The lens I have been using is not a macro lens, but it is quite sharp, so I cropped down to this for a macro look. I liked the whole picture a lot as well, but I thought this was a better representation for this size presentation. I saturated the colors a little bit to emphasize them a bit more as well.
Bridget...I wish it was snowing diamonds!
I really love your photos. I enjoy how you look at things through your camera. The basement pics are always my favorite!
Both of these are stunning. I like the snow and all the colors behind it. The umbrella is another beautiful piece of art work.
You help me see in a different way. Thanks!
The pair do go together well!
