TEA FOR THE TILLERMAN

I have been wanting to jump in on my wife's current blog project, but have failed so far. I also want to keep posting to this blog, because after about 5 years, I think I have a lot of valuable "journaling" and "sketches" here to draw upon and look back upon.  This weeks challenge was....
“The more enlightened our houses are, the more their walls ooze ghosts.” Describe the ghosts that live in your house.
Now... This could be taken many ways, especially in a 112 year old house. Not saying that our house is "haunted", but I am sure the ooze in our house could tell stories.  Ghosts are also something that plague my thought life quite often. My project is kind of a combination of the physical and mental ghosts that occupy my living space.  I could come right out and tell you exactly what I was thinking here, but between the title and the image itself, does anyone have a thought? I say this as if someone is going to read what has become a ghost of a blog..... but maybe there is still some ectoplasm lingering out there that will show signs of blog life here.

ARTHOUSE SENIOR PORTRATS

Here are a few shots from a project I, and my partner Chris have been putting a lot into lately. If you know a Senior, or a Junior in High School.... Think about documenting this time with something a little more telling about such a transitional time of life than a cap and gown.   www.arthousephotographers.com

ALL HALLOW'S EVE

I realize I have been ignoring the blog lately.... I have ton's of personal shots to post, but time rarely allows for this. I had to post this one somewhere, and it seemed to fit in here the best. Did you all notice how beautiful the sky was last night?

LIONS AND....LAMBS....AND DUCKS........OH MY

Greg was my assistant for a bunch of years. He is now persuing other artistic endeavors. Along the way he met Leann, who seems to be his perfect match. This means they are two of the coolest, most genuine, creative people...and an all around a gift to anyone who gets the blessing of knowing them. Any way. I am sure Greg would be embarrassed if I went on and on, so let it be known that I was honored to be part of their wedding, and it was not anywhere near as awkward shooting them as I thought it would be. Anyone who prefers to be on the behind the lens side of the camera would understand that awkwardness. Greg was reluctantly my test subject for lighting and locations for many many shoots, and I realized recently that in every one of them Greg was making a purposeful funny face. I didn't know if it was possible to photograph him without this practiced ritual being repeated. It seems Leann was no stranger to making faces as well..... but luckily there were just the right amount of fun faces and non mugging real moments. I have a feeling their lives together will be very similar. Congrats guys!

JENN & AARON

We thought about doing a shoot last weekend, but since Winter decided it didn't want to depart yet, we crossed our fingers that this weekend would be different. Despite local meteorologist's predictions, It was a really nice day to take a stroll around Ridley Creek State Park with these two and young Riley. Here's a preview of this fun session...

Sometimes it's all about the kids...
