I glanced quickly through this morning and thought "what is that?!" but figured someone else would ask and I'd find out. Well...so what is that in your self portrait? It looks like fire.

And while I'm at at, are those stakes in the second photo? For what? I love this one. There's a lot in it, but yet it's so peaceful.

I like the second photo. I'm guessing they are saplings?, but it is certainly reminescent (sp?) of a cemetary.

It is iinteresting. Are those tubes with saplings? And it is reminiscent of a cemetery... that's what I thought it was at first.

I keep coming back and looking at the landscape too. The patterns, the color, the lines all of it draws you in and doesn't seem to want to let you go. The shadow is nice, but the landscape is fasinating!

The first picture is just the pattern of the last beams of the daylight coming through the bedroom window. It creates a cool glow on the wall, and it only lasted a minute or so, then it was gone. I think it expressed a feeling that was a good setting for my shadow. Definitely not my favorite picture ever, but I think it expressed something.

The second one is of some sort of tree farm, and these are saplings. I have been by this many times, and it had always reminded me of a cemetary as well. I enjoyed the contrast there between the initial thought of death, but it is really a place that nourishes life.
