Very cool. Regarding HDR, sometimes it is done so obviously that it looks weird. Weird and strangely compelling. But weird. What I like about your photo is that it isn't obvious until you mentioned it that it is HDR. The HDR technique is just a technique to get a good shot, it isn't the sum total of the shot.

There is so much cool about this shot, I can't imagine where to begin. The textures, the sky, the shapes. Just an exciting image.
Great light! I like the mysterious setting too. Great candidate for HDR
